Have you had a chance to explore Alt. Entertainments' top 100 most-played songs? If not, it's a curated list encompassing the songs played most frequently since the inception of recording such data. This particular list represents the Alternative category, showcasing tracks ideal for an indie/metal nightclub ambiance.
However, this year brings a twist—I'll be crafting separate lists for indie and metal genres. The current list, influenced by the diverse mobile DJ side of the business, incorporates some pop selections. Additionally, I've decided to broaden the musical horizon by introducing Motown, Northern Soul, Soul, Reggae, Rock'n'Roll, and novelty songs (by Alternative standards) to the lineup. These additions reflect the varied music experiences, including nights dedicated to these genres. The motive behind their inclusion is to provide a more accurate representation, especially with the introduction of stricter indie and metal lists this year.
