Welcome to the 2025/26 update of the Top 100 Most Played Indie Songs by Alt. Entertainments. In recent years, I’ve refined how I track and present my most-played music to better reflect the real atmosphere of different events and dancefloors.

Previously, Indie tracks were grouped together with Alternative and Metal in a single chart. While this worked in the early days, it didn’t always capture the true essence of an indie night. To give each genre the space it deserves, Indie now stands proudly on its own — offering a more accurate snapshot of the tracks that consistently connect with indie crowds.

This list is built from real-world DJ data, showcasing the indie anthems, floor-fillers and modern classics that continue to resonate at club nights, parties and alternative-leaning weddings throughout 2025 and into 2026.
